The View From Over Here - Couples Workshop
Schedule: TBA

Description: Come and learn new skills and gain insightful understanding about creating a healthy and exciting relationship. People in challenging relationships often see communication or lack of communication as the problem. Because of this; they blame an affair for coming between them; or they complain that compatibility or even unhappiness is the reason they have a struggling relationship.
The truth is that these are symptoms of a greater issue in the relationship. Meaning, they are the result of a significant issue in your relationship, but they are not the problem. The benefits of a group setting is that you will have more opportunity to practice different skills with a variety of people, which is sometimes easier than with an emotionally charged partner or spouse. It also provides a safe space to share experiences and grow from other members’ learned experiences and knowledge.
Cost: $80/per couple for each 90 minute group therapy session – groups can run anywhere from 4 weeks to 10 weeks
Spots are limited to 8 couples – Workshop must reach minimum of 4 couples to run.

Group Therapy focuses on a specific theme or topic that is processed and discussed in a group with other individuals or couples for 1-2 hours each week, over a period of 4-10 weeks.
Workshops are focused on skill development; and therefore, are generally a one time event that lasts 2 hours to 2 days. The objective is to learn about a specific topic or learn a skill.
The group counselling session-capacity varies and depends on the specific group. Furthermore, these group sessions are appropriate for pre-teens, teens and adults. Topics may include: identity, coping/self-soothing, mindfulness, self-esteem/self-worth exploration, parenting topics, as well as, many other possibilities.
Do you have an idea, theme, or topic for a group counselling session or workshop you would like to attend? If so, I would love to hear about it. Contact me today for a free initial consultation.
Groups and Workshops are also a more affordable method of counselling if the cost of one-to-one counselling is not within your budget.
